Qt Labs Americas is an openBossa initiative aiming the growth of local Qt and KDE communities all over America, starting in Brazil.

Content previously available about that theme was focused in the European market, being made available mainly in English. Now developers from Brazil and the Americas have a reference point where they find, also in Portuguese, information regarding the development of Qt in the Americas and worldwide.

To enable and expand the Qt developer community in its coverage area, and so to bring Qt Everywhere, Qt Labs Americas works together with the KDE community and local universities. Our activities are focused on the promotion and support of Free Software projects as well as the production and publishing of up-to-date content about Qt.

Together with brazilian universities, we also organize educational events as workshops, conferences and tech-days. This way we introduce Qt to new developers and motivate them as to deepen their knowledge about Qt. This way they become able to develop their own ideas in Qt, or to join existing Free Software projects.
